How one Delhi-NCR rooftop EPC runs on Solar Spine
What was broken
A lead could arrive on Friday but not reach a telecaller until Tuesday. No one knew the delay was happening until the lead had already gone elsewhere. The owner's team was working the same way every time, but the spreadsheet never said how the work was flowing.
Status moved over WhatsApp group chats and phone calls. A salesperson would ring the general manager to ask what to do next on a project. The general manager would check a spreadsheet nobody fully trusted, then ring someone else. Work that was stuck sat stuck until someone remembered to ask.
Material left the warehouse before payment cleared because nothing in the system held the line. A cheque could bounce and Verde would have no panels, no cash, and a site it had already committed to.
What changed
Meta integration for leads
A customer fills a Verde Facebook or Instagram ad form. The lead lands in the calling queue within minutes, checked against the area the company serves, marked hot at the top of the list. What happened to each lead goes back to Meta so the ad account learns which ads produce customers rather than form-fillers. The AI telecaller rings immediately, qualifies the customer, books the site visit on a named salesperson's day, and hands off to a human with its notes when a person is needed. Verde's AI has booked 322 site visits since 27 May, against 110 to 168 for each of three human telecallers on the same team over the same period.

The AI telecaller
The AI rings new leads from Facebook and Instagram ads, qualifies them in a conversation, and books the site visit on a named salesperson's calendar. It calls only between 9 am and 9 pm IST and hands off to a human with its notes when a person needs to talk to a person. It books more visits per dial than any human telecaller on the team, month after month since it went live. The three human telecallers work purchased lists with lower intent; the AI works fresh ad leads, so the only fair comparison is dials to visits: the AI converts 6.5 per 100, the best human converts 1.7 per 100.

Coordination without status chats
Everyone opens one screen and sees their own work. A stage cannot advance with open items; overdue work climbs one rung of the org chart every night; the director sees exceptions, not everything. When a task misses its due date, it moves up the chain: from the person who owns it to their manager, then to that manager's manager, then to the director. The person it started with still sees it on their own list. This is visibility that stops one late job from being one person's private problem. No one needs to send a message asking where something is.

WhatsApp is only for customers now
Internal status chats, shift handovers, and who-is-doing-what messages stopped. WhatsApp is used only to talk to customers now; nothing about a stage, a task, or who owns what travels through it any more. The system shows everyone their own work and who needs to do what next, so nobody has to ask. A task that is overdue rises automatically up the chain every night, without anyone typing a message to flag it. A salesperson no longer rings the general manager to check what happens next on a project; the next step is already on the screen. A shift handover that used to mean explaining the state of a string of open conversations from memory now means opening the workspace and seeing exactly where each one stands. Nothing waits for a message, and nothing depends on someone remembering to send one.
Excel is gone
The AI analyst answers questions about the business from live data in plain English. The director or general manager type a question and get back a finding, evidence, a table, a caveat and a next step, the way an analyst would answer if asked directly. No one builds a sheet to report on their own data any more, and no one copies numbers out of the workspace to build a chart for a meeting. The report is the question, asked again, whenever someone needs it. If an answer looks wrong, the same screen shows where the number came from, so a disagreement gets settled by looking rather than by whoever built the sheet defending their formula. The only numbers that matter are live in the workspace, not frozen in someone's last export.

The director's week got 20 hours back
Punit Singh used to tell each person what to do next on a standard project. Every stage writes its own checklist with dates. Late work climbs the org chart on its own. He steps in only when something is complicated or has gone wrong. He says he saves more than 20 hours a week because every stage knows what it is supposed to do and when it is due, and overdue work climbs to him automatically instead of sitting somewhere unnoticed.

The numbers behind it
- AI telecaller
- Human telecallers
Call log of the workspace, 27 May to 8 September 2026. Human figures pooled across the three callers.
With the method stated
The call log of the workspace from 27 May to 8 September 2026 shows the AI telecaller made 4,922 dials, connected with 1,616, and booked 322 site visits. That is 6.5 visits per 100 dials. The three human telecallers on the same team made between 10,040 and 10,682 dials each and booked between 110 and 168 visits each, a rate of 1.0 to 1.7 per 100 dials. Every month from May to August, the AI booked more visits than any one human. The limit: the AI works fresh Facebook and Instagram ad leads while the humans work purchased lists, so the fair comparison is dials to visits, not closed deals.
Punit Singh, the director, estimates he saves more than 20 hours a week. He no longer tells the team what to do on a standard project. Every stage writes its own checklist with dates. Late work climbs the org chart on its own. He steps in only when something is complicated or has gone wrong. This is his own account of the manual work Spine has replaced. No time-tracking baseline exists in the workspace to verify it against actual hours before and after Spine went live.
There are no internal WhatsApp groups for status any more. There are no spreadsheets kept for reporting. Both are Punit Singh's own account in September 2026. WhatsApp is only used to talk to customers. All team status moves through the workspace itself.
We ran with our salespeople working every lead themselves, no one behind them booking visits. Once the AI caller was doing that on its own, I could bring in someone new and know they would be working the pipeline instead of only keeping the list from falling over.
The spreadsheet stopped working the moment we needed to scale. Spine is the same system whether the pipeline is thin or full. The stages do not change.
When the loan stage is waiting on a bank you cannot speed it up, but now we see it waiting. Before, we found out weeks later when a customer got angry. The visibility alone is worth it.
Every task on every project was written by the system; one was typed by hand. I do not have to decide when things are due any more. The solar domain already knows.
What we would do differently
Start the AI caller and the escalation on day one, not months in. The escalation feature was turned on later and found years of work that had been sitting overdue. Brief the team earlier that WhatsApp was going away for internal use; it came as a surprise and the adjustment took longer than it should have.
Questions about this project
Is Verde Solaire a real customer?
Yes. Verde Solaire is an operating rooftop solar EPC in the Delhi-NCR region, live and running projects through the software as of today. The name and the company are real. Every figure in this study comes from their live workspace.
What was measured versus self-reported?
Measured from the call log: the AI's efficiency in converting dials to site visits, and the rate for each human telecaller. Self-reported: the director's estimate of time he gets back each week, and the absence of WhatsApp groups and spreadsheets. We have no time-tracking baseline before Spine went live to verify the time estimate against.
Can I speak to them?
Yes, through Millennial AI, on request. Verde Solaire agreed to be named and quoted in this case study, and we can put a prospective customer directly in touch so you can ask the team anything the write-up does not cover. We do not publish customer contact details on the page itself, and Verde is under no obligation to take every call, but connecting a genuinely interested buyer with an existing customer is something we do regularly when asked.
Does this apply to a smaller EPC?
The mechanism applies everywhere. A small EPC with a lean sales and operations team runs the same rooftop solar stages and gets the same escalation and coordination. A small team on Spine would still have every stage write its own checklist, overdue work would still climb the org chart every night, and the owner would still only step in for the complicated or broken. The scale differs; the method does not.
